How did you get hooked on Gemma Doyle?
I discovered the Trilogy by accident. I had a gift card for Barnes and Noble, and A Great and Terible Beauty caught my eye, so I bought it, and now I'm on the third book. I'm hooked. How about you?

I discovered the first book also and I read it in like two to three days. I was completely captivated and I couldnn't wait to read the second one. Now that I have read all three, it is hard to find something else. However, I am starting to read Sir Thomas malory who wrote the King Arthur stories. It's great!

I have no idea why, but I bought AGATB, and fell in love with it, and every time I went into Borders I'd check to see if there was a new one, then, about a year later, there was! so i squealed, bought it, and read it loads of times
then, somehow, I forgot about the books, until a while later I re-found AGATB on my shelf, read it, and it was just amazing
and I realised Fee was like me, so that got me even more obsessed with it
then I got my friend (who IS gemma!) to read them, and we are waiting for TSFT to arrive from America for us so we can read it... not that I don't know what happens in the book, but whataver, I am still excited

I was in Books-a-Million, glanced at a page, and bought it, not expecting it to be anything. And it turned out to be WONDERFUL. ;D

I don't even remember how I first picked up the book. It probably had something to do with the cover. I'm just like that. xD

I'm a huge HP fun and was hooked to HP series for years so when DH was about to be released all we HP addicts started panicking wondering "What next? What after HP is over?" so I found a thread over at Leaky Cauldron about good series to pick up after HP and "The Gemma Doyle Trilogy" was the most popular suggestion!! I decided to trust my fellow HP addicts and got AGATB through amazon and once I was finished I was cursing my stupidity for not ordering all three of the books, cause I fell in love with it!!! I love the "Gemma Doyle Trilogy" even more than the HP one they are the most intoxicating and addicted books ever!!

I have this problem...I judge books by their covers...I saw TSFT had a gorgeous cover, I mean, come on, it rocks! and then after realizing it was the third of a trilogy used my awesome birthday money to get the series =)
