I'm not against an unknown cast but LOTR had an all stars cast and totally ROCKED so I can't see why AGATB can't have one!! I want it to be HUUUUUUUUUGE if they ever decide to go on and make the d**n movie!! I'd like it to be the movie of the year rocking box-offices all over the globe!! well not all of it was all-stars.....i only heard of elijah wood, ian mckellan, and liv tyler before....the rest were fairly new names, or were in previous films but this one gave them fame....viggo mortensen? dominic monaghan? you might've heard of them before....but i didn't.....an example: orlando bloom...who ever heard of him before this trilogy? just my opinion.... and i would like to see unknowns also....maybe you guys are done with this topic.....but preferably unknowns...with famous supporting roles and i have no clue who should play gemma....i don;t think it should be rachel, but she has been the closest.... ok finished.

What I truly want adrielena is actors that won't screw up those wonderful characters like it has happened in the past. Emma Watson for example completely effed up Hermione for me and don't even get me started about Dan as Harry. Gemma, Fee, Ann and Pip deserve better than that and only someone with acting experience could deliver. And I'm pretty sure all the main LOTR's characters where handed over to professionals; they might not have had world-wide fame but they all had a very long bio and a lot of experience prior to LOTR. Cate Blanchett, Christopher Lee, Ian Holm, Ian McKellen, Liv Tyler, Hugo Weaving, Elijah Wood...if that isn't an all star cast than I don't know what is!! Not to mention that half of them have been nominated or even won an Oscar. Even Andy Serkis, the guy behind Gollum, has a Golden Globe nomination. I don't want them to cast a bunch of unexperienced and potentially untalented girls who only seek to become famous. I'd much prefer them to follow the Summit's example. Summit is the company producing Twilight by Stephenie Meyer and they casted Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson as the main characters who are both experienced actors but not superstars.

Here's a thought (there was no real specific section to post this, so i chose this board randomly):
Some people have mentioned the fact that the trilogy takes place within less than a year, while the filming will obviously take longer, and the actors might appear older from movie to movie. I wonder if they would consider filming them all at once, as they did for Lord of the Rings. Probably not though, because if there isn't a good turnout (though why there wouldn't be, I have no idea) they would have two more movies already fimed, that might have the same fate. I just don't know if they would think it worth it to make all three at once. With LOTR its pretty obvious that there is a huge following, not that there isn't for AGATB. I don't know if I'm making any sense.... any thoughts?

Holliston Coleman also looks very Gemma-ish
but d**n it she's American.
off topic: cindagirl14 that would be ideal but highly unlikely to happen.

well, they could film the 2nd and 3rd back to back if the first turned out to be a hit...but, if they (hopefully) use teenagers for the main characters, there might be some legal conflictions.

she's more of a mary dowd to me. That's most probably cause she's older than she should. ;D

I think it sounds more like Bonnie read and loved the books and once she heard they are making a movie she decided to pursue the part of Gemma. There isn't even an implication that she's considered for the part by production. There's simply an interest on her part at the moment.
Good news is we finally got movie news even in this indirect way and they might be finally holding auditions so we might have more movie news soon!! Squeeeee!! ;D

Ya, that's what I figured. I know some people on IMDB are making a such stink over it (most likely because they wanted to be able to try out for the movie), but I wouldn't mind if Bonnie was Gemma. I'd prefer someone else, but if she does get the part, I fully support her.
