Well, this is why I placed a question mark next to his name. He does look Tomish to me and had he been younger and British he'd be my first choice but now truth is I haven't found yet my Tom.

I think Ralph Fiennes should play Mr. Doyle. He has the right look for me. I like Jason Issacs but he is kind of evil looking, not how I pictured Mr. Doyle at all. For some reason, everytime I think of Mr. D I picture him as a basset hound. That sounds weird I know... but the same sad eyes and long face...

Even though Rupert Grint is still my absolute favorite to play Tom, I think Jim Sturgess could be a pretty good Tom too.

I don't see age being a big deal breaker with a lot of actors. Some, yes. But many can span several years from their age and make it plausible.
