I'm not sure whether to put this one in here or in the RA board since it kinda relates to both, but here goes.
Did it really bother anyone else how Gemma never got mad at Fee and just sort of forgets that how Fee led the others to kill the deer, tried to hurt Kartik, and as a result of all of that, Circe's creature came after them and killed Pippa? And then Fee turns around and blames Gemma for Pippa's death and Gemma's basically thinks that Fee's completley right?

I was quite surprised and annoyed by that too but then again Gemma is generally forgiving, accepting and excusing all of her friends' mistakes and drawbacks. Moreover, Pippa and Ann participated in Fee's plan as well so if Gemma was to get mad at Fee she'd have to gat mad at Ann too and end up losing all her friends and be left all alone. Furthermore, Gemma must feel guilty about Pip cause she's the one who opened the realms and introduced the girls to them and the one who never took Kartik seriously and foolishly and recklessly run wild with the magic!!

Yeah, I agree with all that, it just seems weird that Gemma would never ever again dwell on the fact that her friends did all that stuff.

I guess Gemma is one of those people who think they are responsible for carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders!! Plus she truly does love her friends and doesn't wish to lose them and she feels guilty for them being powerless when it comes to the realms.
RA, page 277 paperback: during their visit to the gallery with Miss Moore and after Miss Moore has told them about the painting and Milton's Paradise Lost, Lucifer' story. "Felicity and Ann flash me a glance, and I feel a surge of guilt. I have the power. They do not. Do they hate me for it?"
I guess she understands their need for power, cause she shares that same need, and can't blame them for what they did cause she might be thinking she'd do the exact same thing if she were in their shoes.

Yeah, that's one of the things I admire most about Gemma; her forgiveness and understanding of other people's tragic flaws. Most *would* hold a grudge against Fee, remaining angry over something that really had no clear and organized thought behind it, but Gemma is able to be the bigger, more mature person and forgive them all, whereas Fee later on with Pippa's death conveys her immaturity and destructive stubbornness in her inability to forgive Gemma.
