I think Emmy Rossum would make a good Pippa!

I think she would make an excellent Pippa, even though she's not 'how I imagine Pippa too look.' I have to keep remembering that it's not how my head see's it, it's how everyone's head's, put together, see's it.

Emmy Rossum is 22 already way too old to portray Pippa and way too skinny!! I'd like to see a teen girl in the part like Pip's supposed to be and not some adult trying to pass as a teen.

True. I didn't know her age...
I'd like the actresses to be 15 or 16ish so we can see them get older but not dramatically between movies (If they make all three)

It is important that they cast young actresses for one more reason. I don't know if you guys have noticed but the whole plot, from aGaTB to tSFT, takes place in just ONE year. The story stars at June 21 1985 and ends in spring, May, of the same year. So while the actresses while grow older with each film their characters will remain 16!!!!!

Pippa-ish. She's probably too old, but her hair and eyes say Pippa to me. Her name's Amber Scott and shes a model or something.

her eyes are a bit pippa-y, but she's not at all stunning to me.

She's not bad but I always pictured Pippa's facial characteristics a bit fuller, especially her lips. And same goes for her body plus it's Victorian era and women back then where not 'anorexic' like modern model, actresses or any kind of 'icon' in general. But then again beauty is in the eye of the beholder and each person has its own idea about what's pretty or sexy or attractive and so on.

Pippa is described as "dainty" and also has a "16 inch waist whilst corsetted" which means she'd have to have been thin in the first place- not even I, with a natural 24 inch waist can get my waist to 16 inches in a corset (I can get mine to 18). So yes, I think she has to be thin. Also, I think you'll find most young victorians were very thin, because they didn't have the sugars and fats we have today. They simply "created" a vuluptious figure with their clothing; corsets and garments to make their rear ends large and more pronounced.
Anna doesn't suit Pippa for me at all- she's not a very good actor, she's very plain and boring to look at, and she seems quite chubby? Perhaps it's just me? I personally think they should get unknown actors to play the parts aslong as they do them justice (which doesn't always require experience).

Pippa is described as "dainty" and also has a "16 inch waist whilst corsetted" When you're wearing a corset your entire life your body adjust to it. It is unnatural for any healthy body to be that thin. And I always thought "dainty" was more of a way to describe how fair and fragile she looked like a porcelain doll, and maybe a hint to her fragile health, rather than a way to describe how thin she was.
Anyway, each of us has its own picture of the characters and it's got more to do with what we consider beautiful, attractive and so on. Bodies like Anna Popplewell, Rachel Hurd Wood or Scarlett Johansson's look very healthy, beautiful and attractive to me as opposed to Keira Knightley or Emmy Rossum's that repulse me. I like fleshy bodies not the ones where you can count their bones without having an x-ray.

That's a very rude thing to say, and very ignorant also. Just because someone is thin, doesn't mean they WANT to be that way. It is possible for people to eat and eat without putting on weight. I am one of those people, and I always get accused of being an anorexic at school and I don't expect to come online and recieve that same sort of ignorance from someone who has no idea what they're talking about. And yes, it is true, someone who wears a corset everyday will become acostomed to it, but if she was naturally big there is NO WAY she'd get it to 16 inches. I follow the fetish scene very closely, so I know what I'm talking about in terms of corsets, corsetary and their affects. But you are correct in some respects- the characters will be different to each person I can't really imagine any actress for Pippa, I just have a girl in my head. I think Anna is ugly, so I know it definately isn't her! I quite like Emma Rossum though.

What I said was not meant to be insulting, I was merely expressing my opinion and how I see thinks. I do know what you are talking about cause that's exactly how my best friend and her sister is but this doesn't necessarily mean I have to like what I see and it doesn't change one bit how much I love my friend either.
